OpenAI's ChatGPT Pulse Brings Proactive Info to Mobile Users
OpenAI has introduced a new feature called ChatGPT Pulse, transforming ChatGPT into a proactive assistant. Currently in preview for Pro users of the mobile ChatGPT app, Pulse delivers a curated selection of information daily, based on users' past conversations and interests.
Pulse works by analyzing past conversations, stored feedback, and connected applications like Google Calendar or Gmail overnight. It then presents relevant information as visual cards that can be scanned, opened, or saved. Users can actively control the feature using the 'Curate' function to set specific topics for upcoming days.
Each card can be rated with a thumbs up or down, and the feedback is stored. OpenAI sees Pulse as the beginning of a paradigm shift, aiming to make ChatGPT an independently acting agent that proactively provides information. According to recent reports, OpenAI is preparing a new Sora 2 version with audio and social app features, but the official release date is still not specified.
