Blizzard Entertainment, the renowned developer of entertainment games like Overwatch and its sequel, Overwatch 2, has been actively expanding the hero roster in the game's Stadium mode. However, one character, Tracer, has been temporarily removed due to an exploit that made her nearly invincible.

In Overwatch 2's Stadium mode, players engage in a seven-round battle, earning currency to purchase stat boosts and ability modifiers. Unfortunately, an exploit in Tracer's build allowed players to launder currency, turning her into an unstoppable force in the mode. This exploit enabled players to acquire upgrades, refund them, and then recall to retain both the stat buffs and currency. Consequently, Tracer's health pool skyrocketed to almost 2,000 HP, making her roughly four times more resilient than most tanks in the game.

Tracer's small hitbox and high speed contribute to her evasiveness, making her a formidable opponent in the mode. However, her passive ability 'Blink' caused disorienting motion sickness in some players, leading to her temporary ban from the mode just two days after its release.

The internet community swiftly pressured Blizzard Entertainment to reverse the change, and the company complied within 72 hours. However, the specific change that was reversed was not officially stated.

Despite the controversy surrounding Tracer, Blizzard Entertainment remains dedicated to creating new and unique features for Overwatch 2. The company believes that Overwatch 2's Stadium mode, with its structure allowing players to buy, sell, and rewind time with upgrades, opens the door to some quirks.

Overall, the exploit in Tracer's build in Overwatch 2's Stadium mode has sparked a stir among players and the internet community. Blizzard Entertainment has yet to officially state the reason for Tracer's ban, but it's presumed to be related to the exploit. It will be interesting to see how the company addresses this issue and whether Tracer will return to the mode in the future.
