Peugeot 3008 Electric Model Now Offers All-Wheel Drive Option

The Peugeot 3008 Electric 325 Dual Motor, the latest addition to Peugeot's electric lineup, offers a unique blend of performance and practicality.

Despite its weight of 2,262 kg, the 3008 handles curves neutrally and predictably, thanks to its permanent magnet synchronous motors (PSM) in both the front and rear. The front motor produces 157 kW (213 PS) between 10,400 and 6,000 rpm, while the rear motor offers 83 kW (113 PS) at 14,000 rpm. Together, they enable the 3008 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just six seconds.

The 3008 Electric 325 Dual Motor is equipped with a smaller battery, with a net capacity of 73 kWh instead of the standard 96.9 kWh. This change, along with other optimisations, results in a WLTP range of 490 km, which is decent but not record-breaking. During a test drive, the vehicle achieved 19.8 kWh/100 km, which is 1.9 kWh/100 km more than Peugeot's claimed NEDC figure.

The interior of the 3008 Electric 325 Dual Motor is the same as other versions, featuring the i-Cockpit with a curved 21-inch screen and a small control display below. However, the small, flattened top and bottom steering wheel takes some getting used to.

The infotainment operation might not be intuitive at first, and the displays are overloaded with too many indicators. A head-up display is not available to keep the price list reasonable. Leather upholstery is available as an extra cost.

The 3008 Electric 325 Dual Motor is exclusively available with the smaller battery due to its higher price. As of mid-2025, the vehicle costs approximately €56,515 according to the official Dutch price list. This places it as a premium offering within the Peugeot range.

The 3008 is based on the STLA Medium platform of the Stellantis group. It offers four driving modes, including a "Sport" mode that shifts the power ratio to 60% at the front and 40% at the rear. The front motor provides 343 Nm between 2,500 and 4,370 rpm, while the rear motor offers 166 Nm between 1,000 and 4,375 rpm.

With its blend of performance, practicality, and familiar Peugeot features, the 3008 Electric 325 Dual Motor is a compelling choice for those looking for a premium electric SUV.
