Airbus H175 Helicopter Enhances Public Services in Guangzhou

The Airbus H175, a super-medium class helicopter, is making a significant impact in Guangzhou, China, where it is being used for a variety of public service missions and emergency management tasks.

ZHANG Rui, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou and Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou Public Security Bureau, has expressed his enthusiasm for the H175, stating that it will enhance their efficiency and provide an essential tool for their diverse mission portfolio. The helicopter's advanced avionics, robust capabilities, and reliability make it ideal for offshore, search and rescue, and emergency medical services roles.

Colin James, Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters in China, has expressed pride in their long track record of successful cooperation with the GZP. He stated that the H175 is an ideal platform for the critical public service missions of the GZP, supporting them in keeping communities safe.

The H175 is renowned for its ability to perform in extreme conditions, such as icy Arctic environments and hot deserts. It has been used for disaster relief, search and rescue, and other public services. The helicopter's long-range capabilities and smooth flight qualities make it a versatile solution for a wide range of onshore and offshore mission profiles.

As of mid-2025, Airbus has delivered 65 H175 helicopters, with ongoing deliveries and active production. The GZP's fleet includes two H145 helicopters, one delivered in 2016 and the other in 2019. The H175 that was delivered to the GZP has accumulated flight hours, contributing to the collective total of over 240,000 flight hours that H175 helicopters have accumulated.

In China, around 80 Airbus helicopters are currently used for public services. The H175 is just one example of Airbus' commitment to supporting public services with reliable and versatile aircraft.
