BirdDog Technologies to Unveil New Products at IBC 2025
BirdDog Technologies is gearing up for a significant showcase at IBC 2025, the international convention for the broadcast and media industry, held at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center from September 12-15. The company will be showcasing several new product releases and innovations, aiming to expand IP video capabilities and provide flexible, high-definition video acquisition and streamlined remote production workflows for professional broadcasters and the creator economy.
At the heart of BirdDog's offerings will be the BirdDog XL, a high-end PTZ camera featuring a 4/3-inch digital image sensor. This camera is designed to bring a "cinema" look to the broadcast environment, according to Dan Miall, CEO of BirdDog Technologies. Additionally, an outdoor, weatherproof PTZ camera will also be introduced, tailored for remote operation in applications like sports and weather.
BirdDog Connect, an IP connectivity platform for secure control and access to BirdDog cameras, will also be showcased. This solution allows for geographically dispersed production workflows that integrate monitoring, switching, graphics, and audio mixing over internet connections.
The MAKI Live professional stream camera and MAKI Studio production solution will also be highlighted. These products support streamlined live video production, making them ideal for professional broadcasters. BirdDog Technologies has been focusing on building workflows around their cameras and making them as easy to control as possible.
BirdDog will also demonstrate workflow enhancements including their X-Series camera lineup and advanced converter range. The company's CEO, Dan Miall, will discuss the product introductions at IBC 2025 with TV Tech Contributing Editor Phil Kurz.
BirdDog Technologies has been active over the past year, with developments extending beyond PTZ cameras. The company will be at booth 7.C13, demonstrating their solutions in camera technology, connectivity, and integrated workflows. This strategic push is aimed at filling multiple market niches, particularly emphasizing IP video transmission and remote control capabilities.
