Boris FX Shines at NAB 2023 with Practical Demos and Presentations
At this year's NAB Exhibit Hall in Las Vegas, Boris FX has taken centre stage with a series of demos and presentations showcasing their innovative post-production tools. The event, which runs from April 14-17, offers multiple ways to experience these demos, either by booking a group or one-on-one demo in the Boris FX Meeting Room (SL9034) or visiting partner booths such as Dell (SL8065) and AMD (SL9099).
The Boris FX Suite will be on display, showcasing the latest additions, including AI-driven tools, fast 3D camera solves, effects and transitions, audio clean-up, paint & refined roto tools, and more. The demos are designed to facilitate flexible workflows, allowing teams to choose rooms based on session needs rather than gear constraints, supporting more integrated sound design, dialogue editing, and picture editing work processes.
One intriguing aspect of the demos involves using Boris FX tools to tackle challenging audio dialogue scenes with overlapping dialogue and improvisation. By deconstructing scenes to isolate and clean dialogue without losing the natural energy, and using advanced tools for surgical audio cleanup rather than ADR, the approach preserves the show’s authentic feel.
In addition to the demos, Boris FX's Director of Product Marketing, Nick Harauz, will present four sessions at Post|Production World:
- Mastering Prompts with Gen-AI Imagery and Video on Monday, April 15, 9:00 - 10:00 am (Room S220)
- Finding Creativity in the Age of AI on Tuesday, April 16, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM (Room S222)
- Getting Started with Mocha AE on Wednesday, April 17, 9:00 - 10:00 am (Room S220)
Please note that a free ticket is required for the Mograph Meetup, an event organised in collaboration with School of Motion, which is scheduled for Sunday, April 14, at 8:00 pm, at Tom's Urban (3790 South Las Vegas Boulevard).
The demos will be available from April 14 to April 17, with specific times as follows:
- April 15: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (Dell Booth) and 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (AMD Booth)
- April 16: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (Dell Booth) and 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (AMD Booth)
- April 17: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (Dell Booth)
For those interested in learning more about social media workflows in Final Cut Pro, a session is scheduled for Sunday, April 14, 9:00 - 10:00 am (Room S224).
