"Price surge unveiled for Pixel Buds 2a, accompanied by design alterations"
Google's Pixel Buds 2a: A Budget-Friendly Upgrade with Premium Features
The much-anticipated Made by Google event is just around the corner, and with it comes the potential reveal of the Pixel Buds 2a. This affordable pair of wireless earbuds is expected to join the lineup of new products, including the Pixel 10 series phones, the Pixel Watch 4, and more.
According to leaks, the Pixel Buds 2a will feature a design similar to the Pixel Buds Pro 2, but with some cost-saving changes. These changes include a printed logo instead of an engraved one, a repositioned proximity sensor, and a redesigned microphone array that sits just below the "G" logo.
One of the notable features of the Pixel Buds 2a is their Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology. While it may not be as advanced as the Silent Seal 2.0 ANC found in the Pixel Buds Pro 2, it is still a significant upgrade for a budget-friendly pair of earbuds. The Pixel Buds 2a will also offer Spatial Audio, although it may not include head tracking support.
The Pixel Buds 2a are reported to have a battery life of up to 7 hours for the earbuds and up to 20 hours with the charging case. The charging case supports USB-C charging, but does not offer wireless charging.
In terms of pricing, the Pixel Buds 2a are expected to cost around €149 in Europe, making them more affordable than the Pixel Buds Pro 2. This is a €50 increase over the previous generation's €99 price, reflecting the addition of more premium features like ANC and Spatial Audio.
