Rapid Advancement of Battery Production by HPQ Silicon - Plans for Q3 Debut in North America

HPQ Silicon Inc., a technology company specialising in advanced materials and critical process development, has announced a new strategic partnership with NOVACIUM SAS. The agreement, signed on July 2, 2025, marks a significant step in HPQ's renewed approach to commercialising its technologies.

Under the terms of the agreement, HPQ Silicon will collaborate with Novacium to produce high-performance battery cells for the North American market. This strategic move emphasises faster, more focused execution to accelerate returns and drive commercial success.

The collaboration is designed to meet market needs more quickly, positioning HPQ to generate early commercial revenues. HPQ Silicon plans to produce 18650 (4,000 mAh) and 21700 (6,000 mAh) batteries, with the production aimed at launching by the end of Q3 2025.

The expanded collaboration with Novacium is expected to broaden the global reach of Novacium's GEN3 technology. Novacium, a leader in next-generation energy storage solutions, has already proven the seamless integration of GEN3 anode material into standard industrial battery manufacturing lines, thanks to its advanced technology transfer.

Dr. Jed Kraiem, Ph.D., Head of Novacium, has expressed a shared commitment with HPQ to turning innovation into commercial reality. Mr. Tourillon, a representative from HPQ, has highlighted this new strategic direction for HPQ, which prioritises agile partnerships with innovators like Novacium.

This new strategic direction is aimed at quickly turning breakthrough technologies into market-ready products. The agreement reinforces Novacium's position as a leader in next-generation energy storage solutions, while HPQ Silicon's battery production efforts will meet the rising demand across the mobility, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and Canadian defence sectors.

The new agreement allows HPQ Silicon to launch its own battery production operations in parallel with NOVACIUM, accelerating its entry into the North American market. The shift emphasises a deliberate departure from past approaches, signalling a new era of collaboration and innovation for both companies.

HPQ Silicon's collaboration with Novacium in producing high-performance battery cells aligns with their focus on investing in technology to drive business success in the finance sector. This strategic move highlights their industry-wide ambition to accelerate returns by meeting market demands swiftly.

The partnership aims to broaden the global reach of Novacium's GEN3 technology, thereby positioning HPQ Silicon to generate early commercial revenues in the growing market for next-generation energy storage solutions.
