Revelation of the Type 7 Timepiece by Ressence, Marking the Debut of Their First GMT Feature

Ressence, a renowned Swiss watchmaker, has recently introduced its latest creation - the Type 7 watch. This groundbreaking timepiece boasts a distinctive design and advanced specifications, setting a new standard in watchmaking.

The Type 7 features Ressence’s signature rotating discs for time indication, offering a fluid and dynamic dial display. The modern and minimalistic design focuses on legibility and a futuristic aesthetic.

At the heart of the Type 7 is an automatic mechanical movement base, augmented with Ressence's patented ROCS (Ressence Orbital Convex System) module. This ingenious system moves the discs in a synchronized and continuously rotating manner to display hours, minutes, seconds, and other functions.

The Type 7 watch is water-resistant up to 10 meters, making it suitable for daily wear but limited against deep water exposure. It is available with a high-quality strap or bracelet option, typically designed for comfort and durability. The watch is housed in a 41mm grade 5 titanium case, offering durability and a lightweight feel with a sleek finish.

One of the standout features of the Type 7 is the inclusion of a GMT function, given its own subdial. To set the second hour hand, the center of the caseback is turned clockwise. The watch also includes a 24-hour GMT subdial.

The Type 7 is available in two dial colour options: Night Blue and Aquamarine. The Night Blue model is part of the permanent collection, while the limited edition of 80 pieces in Aquamarine celebrates Ressence's 15th anniversary. The watch is priced at CHF 36,000 (~$40,808).

Ressence has also introduced their first-ever integrated bracelet with the Type 7, which is also their first titanium bracelet. The Type 7 watch is a remarkable achievement, maintaining Ressence's distinct look while adding more functionality.

Notably, the Type 7 watch utilizes Ressence's patented Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS) module, and it features a domed dial filled with oil for viewing from any angle. The watch also has a fixed bezel that serves as a minute track on the outside of the sapphire crystal.

Unlike traditional watches, Ressence watches, including the Type 7, do not have a traditional crown. Instead, they are wound and set by turning the caseback. The hours on the Type 7 watch get their own subdial with an 11-color indicator inside that measures the temperature of the oil.

In summary, the Ressence Type 7 watch offers an innovative design and advanced specifications, blending mechanical ingenuity with a clean, ergonomic design. With its unique time display, automatic movement, and high-quality materials, the Type 7 is a testament to Ressence's commitment to pushing the boundaries of watchmaking.

The Ressence Type 7 watch, with its distinctive rotating discs, harmoniously combines a modern and minimalistic style with smart-home-devices functionality. This timepiece, featuring an integrated bracelet, can be paired with various gadgets, showcasing Ressence's ongoing dedication to technology innovation in the realm of watchmaking.

The more one explores the Type 7's intricate features, such as the patented Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS) module and oil-filled domed dial, the more apparent it becomes that this watch represents the fusion of traditional watchmaking with contemporary technology.
