Roam & Mogo Team Up to Boost Boda Boda Earnings & Reduce Africa's Emissions
Roam, an African electric mobility innovator, has partnered with Mogo, a leading East African asset financier, to promote electric motorcycles in Africa. This collaboration aims to enhance the earnings of motorcycle taxi drivers, known as 'boda boda' riders, and decrease environmental impact.
Roam's electric motorcycles have already impressed Mogo, who adopted them early on for their staff. These motorcycles offer advanced features and robust design, making them suitable for various applications. Mikael Gange, Roam's Co-Founder and CCO, sees this partnership as a way to tap into the growing market of African motorcycle taxi riders eager to switch to electric due to rising fuel prices.
Rauls Leitis, Mogo's Business Development Project Manager, believes this collaboration will revolutionize access to electric motorcycles in Africa. Mogo is now offering financing packages that can increase daily earnings by 30% for riders making the switch. With Mogo's support, Roam is accelerating the rollout of electric motorcycles, promising positive environmental and socio-economic impacts across African communities.
Through their strategic partnership, Roam and Mogo are making electric motorcycles more accessible and affordable for African motorcycle taxi riders. This move not only boosts riders' earnings but also contributes to a cleaner, greener environment.
