Russia Launches Preferential Leasing for Small Business Equipment

The Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, backed by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and regional authorities, has launched a preferential leasing program for small businesses. This initiative aims to support various industries, including food, woodworking, textile, and sewing, by providing favorable terms for purchasing new production equipment.

The program offers four targeted leasing products, with rates set at 6% per annum for Russian equipment and 8% for foreign equipment. Small and micro-enterprises in the Magadan region can benefit from this scheme, with light industry enterprises eligible for leasing amounts ranging from 3 to 50 million rubles for up to 36 months, requiring an initial 20% payment. Businesses in priority sectors can secure financing of 3 to 100 million rubles, with an advance payment of at least 10%.

Applications for these preferential financing options can be submitted remotely via the digital platform MSP.RF. The financing amount can range from 5 to 50 million rubles, with a term of up to 60 months and an initial payment of at least 20%. Notably, companies from the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, are offered special conditions within this program, although specific details about these conditions remain unavailable.

The preferential leasing program for small productions is designed to boost the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises by providing access to affordable financing for new equipment. By supporting various industries and priority sectors, the program seeks to stimulate economic growth and job creation.
