Artificial intelligence, social media campaigns, and data-informed product design have fueled the global expansion of Saint Sass, with the American market now dominating sales. A hand from Paris Hilton via an Instagram comment added extra fuel to the fire.

Larissa Schmid and her co-founder Vivien Wysocki didn't just create a clothing company – they designed a tech-savvy sales model to amplify their sock label Saint Sass on a global scale. From Instagram advertising to logistics, from A/B testing on social media platforms to tech-tastic textile production, the founders consistently use digital tools to capture global markets, as Schmid explains in a podcast.

"AI isn't just a dream anymore," Schmid states. Her five-person Berlin team leans on AI to help with creative text ideas, targeted campaigns, investor communication, and more – ensuring they find the precise words to connect with their audience.

From marketing to manufacturing, tech is shaking up the fashion industry. Algorithms spot trends faster than traditional market research, often by analyzing millions of images each day. Asian retailers are already connecting online shops, brick-and-mortar stores, and chatbots so intricately that customers receive personalized recommendations tailored to their style and preferences.

Production at Saint Sass follows a tech formula. Witty phrases like "Not your babe" and "Retired rich" adorn Saint Sass' stretchy socks seamlessly, according to Schmid. "The challenge lies in making these designs stretchable and avoid distortion when worn."

What seems simple was impossible for standard providers. Saint Sass pioneered the technique in Germany and automates production in Italy – with machines capable of producing up to 10,000 flocked socks daily.

Firmly planted in the US, now their major market segment, Saint Sass goes digital for sales instead of stationary stores. An Instagram presence in both markets and prominent support – including shout-outs from celebrities like Paris Hilton – have marked successful market entry.

The Commission has also proposed a directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation, recognizing the growing influence of technology in various industries, including fashion. In the case of Saint Sass, their tech-savvy approach extends beyond marketing and production to include lifestyle choices, such as promoting a fashion-forward and sustainability-conscious work environment for their employees.
