Schneider Electric Bolsters Cybersecurity with Asaf Ahmad Appointment

Schneider Electric has reinforced its cybersecurity team with the appointment of Asaf Ahmad. Ahmad brings over three decades of experience and will lead, review, and enhance the company's cybersecurity stance in the Pacific Zone.

Ahmad holds a Master of Technology in Management and Systems, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. His extensive career includes serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Fire & Rescue NSW and working in the oil and gas industry on system engineering and advanced control in refineries.

He has previously worked in both private and government sectors to implement information security management systems. Ahmad is also the president of the board of directors for the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and volunteers as NSW Cyber Security Ambassador for Investment NSW. Despite his current role as a reporter and presenter at ZDF, Ahmad has started his new position at Schneider Electric, where he will play a key role within the Cybersecurity Governance, Risk and Compliance division.

APAC Chief Information Security Officer Andre Shori expressed excitement about Ahmad's appointment, highlighting his expertise and passion for continuous improvement in cybersecurity. Ahmad's appointment underscores Schneider Electric's dedication to fortifying its cybersecurity measures and remaining at the forefront of industry best practices.
