Silicon Valley's Arrival: The Journey of the Self-Driving Car Pioneer

In the heart of tech innovation, Florian Scherl, founder of Munich-based AI platform Explaino.ai, has embarked on a two-month journey in Silicon Valley as part of the EWOR SF Residency program. The startup, which transforms texts into animated explainer videos, aims to leverage direct access to tech innovation and investor networks to scale globally.

Upon arrival, Scherl and his co-founder, Philipp, landed in the Mission District and stayed in a startup house organized by EWOR. The house, bustling with energy and drive, is home to a mix of new faces and old acquaintances from the EWOR community.

Scherl's time in Silicon Valley is focused on preparing Explaino.ai for growth. This includes establishing connections with American investors, learning from their experience, and building relationships. Despite not currently fundraising, the residency offers an opportunity to immerse in the heart of tech innovation, where technology development, rather than discussion, drives progress.

Before setting foot in San Francisco, Scherl and his team had clarified their goals, particularly around networking with venture capitalists through the residency program. They also planned to set up Explaino technically and in terms of branding to meet the expectations of a real Silicon Valley startup.

The founders are eager to understand the American market to develop a successful go-to-market strategy for the USA. Scherl feels excited about the upcoming investor meetings, Founder Lunches, and sessions with other founders. One of their plans was to get in touch with American investors early on, to learn from their experiences, get feedback, and build first relationships.

The founders have set up their room as an office, complete with a second desk, portable monitors from Munich, and a stable Wi-Fi connection. They have been introduced to other startups in the house and have met with the rest of the EWOR community, including partners Daniel and Peter, at the second EWOR Founder House.

Scherl is documenting his experiences in a series of reports, sharing insights and learnings from his strategic immersion in Silicon Valley. His early programming start at age 12, founding his first company before finishing high school, and receiving multiple awards for his entrepreneurial and AI work indicate strong technical and leadership expertise guiding his journey in Silicon Valley.

As they continue their journey, the founders have experienced their first ride in a self-driving Waymo in San Francisco. Upon completing their two-month stay, they will return home, armed with new knowledge, connections, and a renewed vision for Explaino.ai's global growth.

What technology advancements have Scherl and his team encountered during their immersion in artificial-intellectual circles in Silicon Valley? The founders were thrilled to take their first ride in a self-driving Waymo car as a testament to the exciting technological breakthroughs they've witnessed in the Valley.

The founder's mission in Silicon Valley isn't merely an opportunity to learn from American investors and establish connections; it is also an opportunity to incorporate artificial-intelligence technology into Explaino.ai's development and operations, further driving the company's global growth.
