Slovenian President Outlines Potential Collaboration Zones with Kazakhstan

ASTANA - During her recent sojourn in Kazakhstan, Slovenia's President Nataša Pirc Musar indulged in some enlightening discussions with Kazakhstan's President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, emphasizing potential collaboration opportunities. "Let's dive into the realm of AI―one of the fields we must explore. Tourism is another exciting avenue, and then there's water management, where Slovenia truly shines, and, of course, our shared commitment to sustainable agendas. Slovenia is one of the top countries worldwide in terms of the circular economy. We've got plenty to offer, and Kazakhstan has a wealth of knowledge to share with us," she stated.

The president stressed the significant role a thriving business environment plays in fostering economic growth, with predictable tax policies and strong political agreements acting as bedrocks for business growth. During her time in Astana, three memorandums were signed, with two more in the works.

"These steps we're taking are the keys we're unlocking. I'm confident that the current $172.9 million bilateral exchange could grow exponentially. The prospects are endless!" she declared.

Pirc Musar made a visit to Nazarbayev University where she addressed more than 200 students, faculty members, and staff. During her speech, the President tackled pressing global issues, such as peacebuilding policies, water resources, human rights protection, environmental concerns, artificial intelligence, and gender equality. She underscored the importance of collective international initiatives, particularly in addressing gender justice issues.

"I'd like to touch upon gender equality. Gender equity requires a multitude of political endeavors. Slovenia champions women's rights and works tirelessly to ensure women's representation in top positions. I'm the first female president of Slovenia, and 36% of Slovenian parliament members are women. These numbers may fluctuate, but progress is being made," she explained.

Following her speech, a Q&A session was held, offering students the chance to engage in vibrant discussions on international politics and social development.

President Tokayev welcomed Pirc Musar on March 31, highlighting the exceptional opportunities that her visit presents for deepening and expanding the Kazakh-Slovenian partnership. Topics such as transportation and logistics, pharmaceuticals, green energy, water resources, and telecommunications will shape the talks during a forthcoming business forum scheduled during Pirc Musar's official visit.

During a private chat, Tokayev and Pirc Musar discussed their shared love for singer Dimash Qudaibergen, noted Adil Baltabayev, host and creator of the PRESIDENT project, on his Telegram channel.

During an intimate moment with Dimash at a gala event, Pirc Musar shared that she'd attended one of Qudaibergen's concerts. In response, Qudaibergen expressed his gratitude for her support. According to Dimash News, Qudaibergen performed the Kazakh folk songs "Daididau" and "SOS d'un terrien en détresse" in French.

"The president emphasized the need for exploration in AI, a promising field, and mentioned tourism, water management, and green agendas as areas where Slovenia and Kazakhstan could collaborate. In her speech at Nazarbayev University, she brought up the importance of collective international initiatives, specifically in addressing gender justice issues,"

"Later, during a private conversation, both Presidents Tokayev and Pirc Musar acknowledged their shared admiration for singer Dimash Qudaibergen, demonstrating that their discussions weren't limited to politics and economics, but also included shared passions and interests in the realm of general-news and the arts."
