Smartphone Adoption of Cepra App by Cargoline Set for Year 2025 in Transport Logistics Sector
Cargoline, a cooperation of medium-sized logistics companies specialising in system-controlled less-than-truckload shipments, is set to revolutionise cargo transport with its new customer app. The announcement comes ahead of the Transport Logistic 2025 fair in Munich, where Cargoline's booth can be found in Hall A5, Stand 310.
The app, which will be available from calendar week 23, offers a range of advanced features designed to streamline the cargo transport process. Key features include real-time tracking, transit time and quality monitoring, a free CO2 calculator, and a direct communication channel between consignees and Cargoline partner companies.
One of the most innovative aspects of the app is the AI-based package measurement function. While specific details on this feature are not yet available, it is anticipated that this technology will provide an easy and efficient way to measure packages, potentially integrating smart app features for load management and optimisation.
The app also works in conjunction with Bosch’s Cargo Line eBike motor, which offers up to 400% support and 750 watts of power, allowing users to transport heavy cargo with ease. The app likely allows individual adjustment of support levels to tailor the ride to specific cargo needs.
In addition to enhanced support and control, the app offers smart connectivity, including shipment tracking at the package level, CO2 calculation per shipment, a calendar view for orders, and integrated package measurement via camera. Users can also pin shipments, track status changes via push notifications, cancel orders, and order pick-up vehicles.
The app also includes security features such as a Battery Lock function that digitally disables the battery if stolen, ensuring security and discouraging theft. Other convenience features include walk assistance and hill start assist, useful when managing heavy loads, with the app coordinating these motor support features seamlessly.
The Transport Logistic 2025 fair features various exhibits and events related to express services, fleet and vehicle management, freight forwarding, digital trends, science and research, load carriers, accessories and styling, heating and air conditioning technology, drive types, fuels, and emissions, truck driver, telematics, conference, rail freight, vehicle networking and communication, platooning, truck tests, digitalization and networking, workshop equipment and facilities, trailer, last mile, workshop services, other or special trucks, digital tachograph, refrigeration machines, politics, combined transport, scheduled services, suppliers, truck racing, maintenance, axles, and other related topics.
Cargoline's new customer app is part of the Bosch ecosystem, specifically integrated with the Cargo Line eBike systems released in summer 2025. The eBike Flow app, which includes these new features (including those relevant for cargoline users), is available now, with some premium functions requiring a paid Flow+ subscription.
In summary, Cargoline's new customer app offers a range of advanced features designed to enhance the cargo transport experience, particularly in conjunction with Bosch's new Cargo Line eBike systems. The app's AI-based package measurement function, enhanced support and control, smart connectivity, security features, and convenience features are all set to revolutionise the way cargo is transported, starting mid-2025.
