Tesla Introduces New Horn Improvement for Cybertruck Proprietors
In an exciting development for Cybertruck owners, Tesla has rolled out a new horn upgrade as part of its Spring software update. The innovative feature, which aligns with Tesla's forward-thinking approach to vehicle upgrades, is now available through the Tesla mobile app.
The new horn sound, a distinctly futuristic vibe compared to the original, can be enabled by Cybertruck owners through a prompt in the app. To access the upgrade, users simply need to navigate to the "Play" option within the Tesla app and select the "Upgrade Now" option that appears next to the new horn sound.
Chuck Cook, a Cybertruck owner, confirmed that he didn't require a software update for the horn upgrade to appear on his vehicle. Siddhant Awasthi, Cybertruck Vehicle Program Manager, teased the rollout of the new horn on social media, generating excitement among the Cybertruck community.
The development of the feature is credited to Tesla's "amazing firmware team," although the specific person responsible for the personality-strong horn upgrade remains unidentified. The new horn sound brings an additional layer of personalisation to the already unique Cybertruck.
It's worth noting that downgrades for the new horn sound are not supported, meaning once upgraded, the original horn sound cannot be reverted. However, the message indicating the horn upgrade is a permanent change may have been misinterpreted, as the new horn sound is not mentioned to be a permanent change.
The new horn upgrade adds a futuristic sound to the Cybertruck, enhancing the vehicle's already futuristic design. Cybertruck owners can choose to upgrade to the new horn sound, adding another element of customisation to their vehicles.
Tesla's Spring software update, which took place in April, also included a new lock sound for the Cybertruck, further personalising the vehicle's audio experience. The update, which has been well-received by Tesla enthusiasts, underscores the company's commitment to continuously improving and innovating its vehicles.
