Title: UFC Announces Thrilling Main and Co-Main Events Featuring Two Former Champions

UFC Seattle 2025 is shaping up to be an unforgettable Fight Night, with Dana White and the team crafting a card that's sure to draw fans both locally and globally on ESPN Plus. The main event, penned down for February 22, will see former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo squaring off against Song Yadong.

This exciting news was first reported by ESPN's Mike Coppinger. Cejudo last saw action in February 2024, losing a unanimous decision to Merab Dvalishvili. Currently on a two-fight losing streak, Cejudo will enter the ring ranked No. 7. On the other hand, Song Yadong, who also happens to be No. 8 and in dire need of a victory, is his opponent. Yadong recently suffered a unanimous decision loss to Petr Yan in March 2024.

The co-main event promises an intriguing matchup as former two-time UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz potentially prepares for his final Octagon walk. Cruz, who's been sidelined for over two years, has been talking about his desire for one last fight. His last contest, a fourth-round KO loss to Marlon Vera via head kick, was in December 2022. His opponent in this potential swan song could be No. 9 Rob Font, who's on a roll with his win over Kyler Phillips in October 2024.

The rest of the card looks promising, with potential Fight-of-the-Night scraps between Barboza-Garcia, Allen-Hernandez, Silva-Baghdasaryan, and Vieira-Chiasson. The full card, as rumored, includes:

  1. Main Event:
  2. Henry Cejudo vs. Song Yadong (Bantamweight)
  3. Co-Main Event:
  4. Rob Font vs. Dominick Cruz (Bantamweight)
  5. Other Fights:
  6. Edson Barboza vs. Steve Garcia (Featherweight)
  7. Jean Silva vs. Melsik Baghdasaryan (Featherweight)
  8. Brendan Allen vs. Anthony Hernandez (Middleweight)
  9. Ion Cutelaba vs. Ibo Aslan (Light Heavyweight)
  10. Curtis Blaydes vs. Rizvan Kuniev (Heavyweight)
  11. Adam Fugitt vs. Islam Dulatov (Welterweight)
  12. Chidi Njokuani vs. TBD (Welterweight)
  13. Muhammad Abdul-Malik vs. Antônio Trócoli (Middleweight)
  14. Michael Chiesa vs. TBD (Welterweight)

While details are still emerging, the UFC is back in action on January 11, at the Apex in Las Vegas, with a women's strawweight main event featuring Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas in a rematch. Keep an eye out for more information on upcoming UFC events.
