DeLonghi La Specialista Touch Simplifies Coffee-Making for Espresso Enthusiasts
Touchscreen Coffee Maker Issues Invalidated by DeLonghi La Specialista
An estimated 25 million Americans rely on coffee to kick-start their mornings, often grappling with the frustrations of complex coffee machines. DeLonghi addresses these concerns with its La Specialista Touch all-in-one espresso machine, designed to deliver delicious coffee beverages with minimal effort.
This compact device, measuring about a square foot, offers numerous advanced features while keeping a user-friendly touchscreen interface. Weighing 23lbs, it packs a burr grinder with 15 grind settings, an automatic dosing system, a pump capable of 15 bars of pressure, and a self-cleaning automatic frothing wand. Included accessories range from a single and double filter, tamping kit, hard water tester, and a stainless steel milk jug.
The machine's full-color 3.5-inch touchscreen comes preloaded with 10 preset drink recipes, covering the espresso to the Americano spectrum, with various hot and frothy milk drinks in between. Cold extraction technology is also available for enjoying refreshing cold brew beverages without bitterness or wateriness.

Upon initial setup, DeLonghi's user-friendly touchscreen guides users through processes such as water testing and establishing coffee bean profiles. The machine offers step-by-step guidance for grinding, tamping, and brewing, ensuring a seamless coffee-making experience for both hot and cold drinks. The automatic steam wand provides hands-free milk frothing, creating silky microfoam for lattes and cappuccinos.
Customization options are available for experienced users who wish to fine-tune their coffee preferences. Up to 9 custom profiles can be created based on the existing recipes, and up to 6 bean profiles can be saved, although the hopper cannot be removed. The touchscreen's intuitive design eliminates the need for excessive wheel spinning or button pressing, offering easy-to-understand pictographs for 6 AM brewing convenience.
The rear-facing water reservoir is somewhat tricky to access, and determining the remaining water may be challenging. However, it is removable for easy refilling. The La Specialista Touch is now available on the DeLonghi site for $999. It was initially set to be exclusive to their site until June 1st, but Amazon is currently taking orders with two-day delivery.

This DeLonghi La Specialista Touch, a compact smart-home device, integrates seamlessly with coffee enthusiasts' morning routines, offering a range of gadgets such as a burr grinder, automatic dosing system, and self-cleaning frothing wand. Additionally, DeLonghi's technology extends to cold extraction, delivering refreshing cold brew beverages without bitterness or wateriness, while its user-friendly touchscreen guides users through customization options for a personalized coffee experience.
