Under New TVS Management, Norton Motorcycles embark on an exciting new era with the unveiling of the V4 model.

The motorcycle industry is abuzz with excitement as British brand Norton prepares to make a comeback in the high-performance segment with the launch of its new superbike, the Norton V4. This is the first motorcycle developed under TVS ownership since they took over Norton in 2020.

The Norton V4 is a testament to TVS's commitment to preserving Norton's British legacy while steering it towards global relevance. The new superbike boasts a sleek, aggressive design that incorporates modern engineering, carrying forward the exotic styling of Norton's previous superbikes with sharp fairings, sculpted bodywork, and an unmistakably premium finish.

At its heart, the Norton V4 features a 1,200cc V4 engine producing around 185 horsepower and 125 Nm of torque, complying with Euro 5+ emission standards. It comes equipped with a futuristic design, featuring a bold LED headlight with integrated DRL, an underbelly exhaust for better balance and aesthetics, Brembo Hypure calipers, semi-active Öhlins suspension, and a matte black frame. The bike continues to employ a six-speed transmission and advanced electronics including ride-by-wire, traction control, cornering ABS, and a six-axis IMU with multiple riding modes. Its chassis is a twin-spar aluminium frame with improved mass centralisation thanks to the underbelly exhaust.

The Norton V4 aims to combine high-end specs with more aggressive pricing to disrupt the liter-class superbike market currently dominated by brands like Ducati, BMW, and Aprilia. Its underbelly exhaust and revised styling are specific design differentiators expected to improve handling and mass centralisation. The electronics and suspension match the level of rival superbikes, making it a serious contender on performance and tech fronts.

In a comparison with its competitors, the Norton V4 stands its ground. With a price range estimated between ₹30 lakh to ₹50 lakh (approximately £25,000 to £30,000 in Europe), it positions itself competitively in the liter-class superbike segment.
