Vietnam's Association of Foreign-Invested Enterprises (VAFIE) recently hosted a working session with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. The meeting explored potential investment and trade opportunities, with a focus on renewable energy and other key sectors.
The session, led by Saudi Arabia's Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef, discussed a range of cooperation projects. These included renewable energy initiatives in Ha Tinh, Son La, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, and Thanh Hoa, as well as the Vietnam Metro project, presented by Invest Global Center.
Alkhorayef appreciated these proposals and encouraged further study into specific cooperation opportunities. The meeting also highlighted potential projects in energy, industry, agriculture, and infrastructure. Companies like Van Thuan Group, Giza Vietnam, and Gilimex showcased projects in high-tech agriculture, logistics, industrial parks, and manufacturing infrastructure. Notable projects also included next-generation battery research, biochar technology, IoT-AI solutions for energy management, waste-to-clean-fuel conversion, and agricultural preservation technologies.
The working session opened up new expectations for Vietnam-Saudi Arabia investment and trade cooperation.
