Xbox Game Pass Revamped: New Subscriptions, Rewards, and Cloud Gaming Titles

Microsoft is revamping Xbox Game Pass with new subscriptions and a rewards system. The changes, effective October 1, 2025, introduce Game Pass Essential, Premium, and Ultimate, with varying game libraries and prices.

The overhaul brings new cloud gaming titles: RoadCraft (exclusive to Cloud and Xbox Series X|S), Visions of Mana, Peppa Pig: World Adventures, and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. The current cloud gaming library remains, listed on Xbox.com/Play.

Game Pass Ultimate offers the highest quality with up to 1440p resolution and a higher bit rate. All subscriptions now support cloud gaming and are accessible on Xbox, PC, web browsers, and smart TVs. The PC Game Pass retains its library and EA Play access, but at a higher price and with a rewards system.

Pricing changes include a 28 percent increase for Game Pass Essential to 8.99 euros, and a 25 percent rise for PC Game Pass to 14.99 euros. Game Pass Ultimate sees a 50 percent increase to 26.99 euros. The number of titles ranges from over 50 in Essential to over 400 in Ultimate.

The revamped Xbox Game Pass offers more titles and higher quality, but at increased prices. The new rewards system encourages player engagement. The changes aim to enhance the gaming experience across platforms.
