Xendee Achieves CMMC Certification for Microgrid Software

Xendee, a leading provider of microgrid software, has achieved a significant milestone with the completion of the DoD Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) for its platform. This certification ensures the highest level of cybersecurity for Xendee's technology, which is used to design and manage sustainable communities, large facilities, and utility-scale microgrids.

Xendee's latest innovation is its multi-node feature, allowing users to design and simulate complex microgrid systems with ease. This advancement is particularly useful for large-scale projects and utility-scale microgrids.

The U.S. Department of Defense's Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) has recognized Xendee's potential. They have enlisted the company to help reduce energy system engineering costs for microgrids, demonstrating the DoD's commitment to improving resilience on military bases.

In collaboration with Arizona State University, Xendee has developed a curriculum to train service members on its software. Led by Nathan Johnson, Associate Professor and Director of the Laboratory for Energy And Power Solutions (LEAPS), this initiative ensures that military personnel are equipped with the necessary skills to manage and maintain microgrids effectively.

Xendee's software has been successfully demonstrated at three DoD installations: Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria, and Naval Base San Diego. The DoD's support has been instrumental in the development of microgrids on military bases in the United States and Germany, enhancing their resilience and sustainability.

Recently, Xendee announced an integration with UtilityAPI, enabling more accurate load data and emission profiles. This integration further enhances the platform's capabilities, allowing it to model up to 25 different distributed energy resource technologies to meet organizational goals.

Xendee's platform, now CMMC-certified, offers a robust and secure solution for designing and managing complex microgrid systems. With its multi-node feature, ESTCP partnership, military base demonstrations, and UtilityAPI integration, Xendee continues to set the standard for microgrid software. Its optimization engine ensures optimal investment strategies, technology sizing, placement, and dispatch for microgrids, making it an invaluable tool for organizations seeking sustainable and resilient energy solutions.
