Zoom Coming to Facebook Portal Devices in September
Google Assistant's Senior Director of Product Management, Lilian Rincon, is thrilled to expand connection options for users. Meanwhile, Zoom is set to arrive on Facebook Portal devices, with a public rollout in September.
Zoom will soon be accessible on various Facebook Portal devices, including Mini, Portal, Portal+, and TV. This integration is expected to enhance video conferencing capabilities on these popular smart displays.
The rollout begins in September, with Oded Gal, Chief Product Officer at Zoom, expressing excitement about bringing Zoom to these devices. Additionally, Zoom is already available on other smart home displays like Amazon Echo Show and Google Nest Hub Max, further expanding its reach.
By the end of the year, Zoom will be accessible on Echo Show and Google Nest Hub Max. In the US, Echo Show 8 users can expect the launch later this year. Brian Oliver, Director of Alexa Communication, anticipates this launch. Notably, Zoom on Facebook Portal devices is scheduled for September 2025.
Zoom's expansion onto Facebook Portal and other smart home displays will provide users with more options for high-quality video conferencing. This move is expected to enhance the functionality of these devices and improve user experience.
